Scrub your seville oranges under hot water. In a pan of adequate size for the fruit to fit into the base in one layer, cover them with water and place a plate on top to stop them bubbling up. Put a lid on the pan and bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer for two hours. Leave to cool, then half each orange and scoop the innards into the cooking liquid, reserving the softened skins.

I’m trying to nail end grain cups It’s a bit tricky and is resulting in a lot of semi finished receptacles lying around, so they’re getting filled with plants to hide the wobbles. This is some Rowan with linseed and beeswax for the waterproofing of. The seedling is (I think) a Ghost Plant, it does have some rootage, here’s hoping it takes. UPDATE: it didn’t take :(

25ml white port 25ml marmalade vodka 50ml sweet sherry 1 splash of angostura bitters Stir ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass with a twist of orange peel. For the marmalade vodka 1kg seville oranges roughly chopped 750ml vodka 300g sugar Mix ingredients in a wide mouthed kilner jar and leave to steep for at least a month. Strain and decant into bottle(s)
